We support the Okanagan Indian Educational Resources Society (OIERS), informally known as the En’owkin Centre, which was established in 1979-80 by the Okanagan Nation as a cultural educational resources organization. The mandate and goals of OIERS is to preserve, protect and perpetuate the language and culture of the Syilx Okanagan Peoples through education and programs that will restore, preserve and enhance culture and language learning.  The En’owkin philosophy is foundational to all aspects of programming and is founded in the concept of Enowkinwixw which is the traditional Okanagan dialogue that solicits inclusion and pursues collaborative engagement. The En’owkin Centre deliver Syilx Okanagan culture and language learning; traditional arts revitalization; traditional ecological knowledge restoration; restorative justice practice; publishes quality materials; and houses resources that enhance Adult higher learning
