| At the dawn of the 21st century, it is essential to our survival that we all learn to listen to our indigenous relatives, to the told and untold stories of the people and the land, and to the vital connection between our spiritual well-being and the health of Mother Earth. We are at the interface of the traditional and the contemporary, between the past and the future, where freshwater rivers meet the sea... at the confluence of many different places, peoples and world views. |

| The Cultural Conservancy, located in San Francisco at the Presidio, is participating in an experiment - converting an old miltary post into a new kind of 21st century urban park that promotes and celebrates peace between all cultures and with the natural world. |
